Surgery

Dr. Durham is a board-certified equine surgeon with extensive experience as a surgeon with multiple large university hospitals.

We believe in a high standard of care for our surgical patients and prioritize pain control, sterility, and limiting physical and emotional stress for horses undergoing a procedure.

We are currently expanding our referral surgery offerings and Dr. Durham will be taking more surgery cases as she returns from maternity leave in 2024.

Current surgeries we perform include:

• laceration repair

• wound debridement and sequestrum removal

• castration

• enucleation (eye removal)

• sinus surgery

• tenotomy

• mass removal
