TREC Safety Seminar and Trail Ride

Location: Longleaf Lodge 131 Little Rd, Hoffman, NC 28347

Time: Registration at 9am

Join us at this beautiful location in Hoffman for a day of fun and learning. Longleaf Lodge is a unique site with
access to the NC Game Lands that provides overnight lodging for humans, horses, and hounds.
Riders, please RSVP early to reserve your space. Non-riders welcome w/out RSVP.
9:30 - 12:00 Trail Safety seminar with Dr. Lisa Kivett of Foundation Equine.
Learn about what to pack, sharing the trail with others, and basic first aid for horse and rider.
NOON Chili and Nachos at the Lodge with information about TREC.
1:30 - 4:00 Trail Ride on the NC Game Lands. Ride with guide(s) or on your own. Maps provided.

Equine Educational Dinner!

Equine Metabolic Disease Update- Cushing's (PPID) and Metabolic Syndrome

Time: Dinner at 6:00, Discussion at 6:30 PM

Join us for dinner and an educational update on Equine Cushing's and Equine Metabolic Syndrome- two very common, and very serious, conditions affecting horses. We'll discuss common signs and symptoms, new developments in testing, and current thinking with regard to treatment and management. If you think your horse may have either of these conditions, this seminar is a can't-miss!
